Academia Residence - Bergamo

Arriving late in the evening, Jacob greeted us with warmth at Academia Residence. The room surprised us with a king size and a queen size bed, both adorned with clean, starched bedding. Enjoying tea and coffee in the room was a nice touch, along with the fridge and hair dryer. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The location couldn't be beat. Just steps away from a museum showcasing Caravaggio and close to numerous shops and restaurants. We strolled from the train station, taking about 25 minutes uphill on cobblestoned streets. Keep this uphill walk in mind if you're with young kids or older folks. While we loved the charm and convenience, my only hiccup was the slight hassle with parking, requiring a 15-minute walk to find free parking. For a city stay, it was minor.

Would return there, the hotel was clean, and location within walking distance to all tourist sites was particularly good and amazing. Location: the property was just next door to the Accademia Carrara, and both the old town.

Right, let me tell ya! The room was proper spacious, clean as a whistle, and had all the bits you need. Just steps from a museum, perfect for us. Only downside? Breakfast wasn't clear, but overall, loved it!

The rooms were spotless, new-fashioned with nice bathroom, ideal for us. Having a shower, a hair dryer, and a bidet was a bonus.

Spacious and clean room!

The hotel had stunning location really close to the very beautiful and amazingly preserved old town, Bergamo and the surroundings, and local restaurants. Came to visit a minor league ballpark, based within a close distance from the property.

The bed creaked as if it was auditioning for a horror film, and the shower? Well, it leaked all over. Woudl ve been nice to get a complimentary upgrade after such an experience, but i guess that's too much to ask at this hotel.

I loved the chic, bright room that was filled with beautiful vintage finds. The charming decor throughout the hotel. Plus, the mini kitchenette in the double room was a fantastic touch for making snacks after exploring nearby attractions.

Charming decor and clean rooms made us feel at home.

We encountered major issues with the breakfast service. The breakfast room was often still closed by 7:30 AM, leaving us and other guests waiting and confused. Parking was a significant hassle. We had to find a pay & display option quite a distance away, very frustrating. It's essential to mention the uphill walk from the train station. While it was manageable for us, it could be a serious challenge for families or older guests.

The decor has a charming and stylish vibe that gives a cozy feel to the stay. Unique vintage finds throughout the common areas create an inviting atmosphere.

The room was quite small with limited space for luggage, leaving the floor cluttered. The shower had low water pressure and leaked, leading to unnecessary water on the bathroom floor. The creaky bed made for a less than restful night, waking us up multiple times.

Great, friendly staff. Beautiful decor with paintings and antiques lining the corridors. Loved the airy room with high ceilings. And the well-proportioned, super clean bathroom was a real highlight!

Had a blast with my crew! The room was huge and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed exploring the nearby old town and the local museum. The breakfast was good, and the staff were super friendly.

The only downside was the limited parking outside. We ended up needing to find pay & display parking.

Really liked the vibe of the place, super stylish and comfy. The room was bright, and I loved the little vintage finds all around. Staff were super friendly and gave me great tips for local spots. Only thing was, the breakfast could start a bit earlier. It was perfect for exploring all the cool sites nearby!
